"Aliviar a Mente was crafted as more than just a workshop" — it was a journey inward, a chance to connect deeply with oneself, and a process of letting go.
Created with a commitment to emotional well-being, this workshop provided a compassionate, safe space for those seeking understanding, release, and a moment of peace. Through writing, meditation, and shared reflection, we found that even the heaviest burdens could be lightened, as we tapped into the profound resilience within us all.
Inspiration and Connection
The workshop began with a simple yet powerful introduction. I invited each participant to share their name, a color, and a feeling they were experiencing in that moment. As everyone spoke, I shared insights into the symbolism of colors, drawing connections between our chosen colors and the emotions they often evoke. This gentle exercise allowed us to explore how deeply our feelings resonate with our surroundings and ourselves.
From there, we moved into an open discussion about emotions and the significance of embracing them. Participants were encouraged to share why they had chosen those particular feelings they expressed during the introductions. Together, we explored what it meant to truly feel, to understand the roots of our emotions, and to accept them fully. This conversation set a warm, trusting atmosphere, inviting everyone to look deeper within and relate to others on an authentic level.
Meditation
For the second phase, I guided participants into a meditative experience centered on self-awareness and emotional release. I asked them to lie down, close their eyes, and listen to the soothing frequency of 528 Hz—a sound known for its calming and restorative effects, which I explained to give context and grounding to the exercise. As they settled, I led them through a mental journey to spaces in their minds that evoked peace and comfort.
Starting in a place of tranquility and happiness, I guided them to memories and moments that stirred feelings of nostalgia, often associated with a safe, familiar place like a childhood bedroom. From there, we ventured deeper, into spaces connected to past challenges and painful experiences—places where they encountered people and moments that had left lasting marks. However, participants were encouraged to observe these memories without judgment, simply bearing witness to these fragments of the past.
At the close of the meditation, I guided them to connect with their inner strength, gently urging them to let go of the heavy emotions, to acknowledge and accept them, and to recognize that not everything they carried belonged to them. This process created a profound space for release, allowing each person to step into a place of understanding and healing.
Writing and Sharing
In the final stage, we turned our reflections into words.
Participants wrote about everything they had encountered during the meditation—the places they had created, the feelings that arose, the people they “met,” and the words that echoed in their minds. This exercise allowed them to relive these mental spaces, confront lingering emotions, and ultimately let go of the pain they had been holding onto. We reminded each other that our inner strength is far greater than we often realize and that the act of sharing and writing has the power to transform, heal, and renew.
